Spirit of optimism at drinktec 2009
drinktec 2009 marked a completely new start: not only did Miteco unveil its new colours and corporate design, but there was also a new sense of cautious optimism in the industry as a whole. A dynamic logo, fresh colours and a new image: Miteco revealed its new corporate design at drinktec 2009.
The company has rejuvenated its visual appearance and found a new style. ‘Our technology is constantly under development and our cutting-edge processes set standards in process technology’, explains CEO and technical developer Angelo Cadeo. ‘We have made Miteco’s internal dynamic a little bit more visible – a long overdue step.’
Eye-catching: the Miteco trade fair stand
Miteco’s stand at drinktec was the first large event at which the new design has been used, not to mention its first major test. The reactions of trade fair visitors to the new design were unanimously positive. ‘We were somewhat surprised by the strong response to our stand design’, enthused those in charge at Miteco. ‘Of course the new appearance should be perceived as a new start, but it is fantastic when it works so well and is accepted straightaway.’
In addition to its use on the trade fair stand, the new corporate design is also showcased on the completely new Miteco website, and will be used in corporate documents, the corporate brochure and all future brochures and specifications.
Demanding: customers and discussions at drinktec
drinktec provides a very detailed overview of current industry trends. Visitors from countries with a growing drinks industry were strongly represented, namely Africa and Asia, and particularly China. There was also great interest in highly efficient and reliable technical processing plants which have low energy consumption and operating costs: areas in which Miteco, with its host of patented technologies, excels.
‘The competition is becoming tougher and users are becoming more demanding in terms of the technology and cost-effectiveness of plants’, says Angelo Cadeo, summarising an important trend in the industry. Prices and additional services are playing an increasingly important role in the choice of plant and the way contracts are concluded. Discussions with several visitors to the Miteco stand showed that the industry is approaching these challenges in a highly professional manner. ‘The level at which technical questions and commercial details were being discussed was unusually high’, confirms Cadeo. Miteco is more than satisfied with its performance at drinktec 2009. At the trade fair, a number of current offers were brought to a conclusion and several new projects entered the negotiation phase.
Summary of the trade fair: a positive future for Miteco
With the new corporate design and brand positioning, which reflects the technical innovativeness of the company, Miteco feels that the company is extremely well positioned to deal with strong competition. The successful conclusion of several contracts and ongoing negotiations for new projects are proof that customers and users value Miteco’s expertise and exclusive plant technology. ‘After our experiences at this trade fair, we are looking forward to the coming business year’, says Angelo Cadeo. ‘drinktec 2009 was indeed a milestone for Miteco but we will now continue to move forward. There are enough projects, after all!’
